Hi! I’m Amanda, and I’m so glad you’re here.
Are your relationships feeling strained due to spiritual trauma or differences? Do you feel depressed or anxious because you no longer feel like you have a place to belong? Many people, including LGBTQ+ people and their allies, have experienced some sort of religious trauma, spiritual deconstruction, or an overall disenchantment with church and religious institutions and find themselves disoriented and alone. Like you, my clients have struggled, sometimes feeling as if they can’t be their authentic selves, feeling pressured to be a people-pleaser and afraid of the consequences if they don’t. But it doesn’t have to be that way.
Imagine breaking free from those struggles and living an authentic life free of shame and guilt, full of connection and self-love. Change is possible, and I can help you get there. I use a variety of therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), person-centered, psychodynamic, and mindfulness. All are intentional and designed to meet you where you are, depending on your needs. Above all, I offer my clients a safe, caring, and empathetic space to process what they’re going through.
Outside of my therapist office, you might find me hiking, crafting, or reading the latest popular fantasy novel, and I have a rather impressive collection of Halloween decor. I also have a deep fondness for snarky coffee mugs. My spouse and I live in the New Braunfels area with our two beautiful kids, a cute black lab named Salem, and my cat, Luna. Having grown up in conservative, evangelical spaces and going through my own spiritual deconstruction, I know the disorientation that can accompany it. I want to empower you to find strength and wholeness no matter where you land. Call or email me today. You don’t have to go through this alone.
