Norman Lloyd, MA, LPC

As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 24 years of military service, I specialize in supporting service members and their families through the unique challenges of military life, transitions, and retirement. I understand firsthand that while serving our country can be deeply rewarding, it can also bring about stress, anxiety, depression, and feelings of being overwhelmed.
You’re not alone—and you don’t have to navigate these challenges on your own. Drawing from both lived experience and professional training, I use evidence-based therapies such as Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients build healthy coping skills, develop emotional resilience, and manage the complexities of military life.
My passion lies in helping those who serve—and their loved ones—find strength, healing, and a renewed sense of purpose. Together, we can create a path toward greater well-being.
Education
I hold a master’s degree in counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
Experience
As a retired military professional with 20 years of dedicated service, I bring a wealth of experience working with all branches of the armed forces. My career included multiple deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan, where I gained firsthand insight into the challenges faced by service members and their families. Serving as an airborne paratrooper, jump master, and senior human resources specialist, I developed strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Additionally, as the Education and Incentives Director for the Texas Army National Guard, I supported soldiers in achieving their personal, educational, and professional goals. My background equips me to connect deeply with individuals navigating military life, transition, or the aftermath of service, offering a unique perspective and compassionate support to help them thrive.
