One thing that you will quickly learn about me is my passion for people. I strive to care for others in my walk-through life and desire to walk with others on their journey. I value the story that each individual holds and have a curiosity about life and people that benefits me well with the career path I have chosen. My expertise is primarily working with teenagers and their families. The teenage years can consist of a lot of change, growth, and sometimes turmoil for all members of the family. I find it essential and necessary for young people to be able to work and process through this life stage in a safe and trusting environment.
I graduated from Concordia University with a BA degree in Behavioral Science. I then went on to complete my Master’s program at St. Edward’s University and graduated with a MA in Counseling with a focus on Professional Counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy. I have previously worked at an inpatient facility for adolescents suffering from chemical dependency. I currently volunteer for a local church serving in their student ministry program as a youth leader and have done so for the last 6 years.
I have always enjoyed a good book under a giant tree. The ability to escape to another world of fiction, fantasy, love, and romance from an author with an intriguing imagination has always thrilled and soothed me. If I’m not entrenched in a good book, then I am probably engaged in a board game or card game of some sort. I am currently married to my best friend and we have a puppy child named Ritter.
