Tammy Fisher, MA
LPC-S, LMFT-S
I help frustrated couples who are struggling with sexual and/or emotional connection in order to have a more fulfilling and erotic relationship…but my clients will tell you that my real expertise is helping them understand themselves and their partner in a deeper, more meaningful way that naturally inspires loving interactions.
Relationships are hard. Only our closest loved ones, especially those we share a bed with, can stir up our most intense feelings of emotional pain, disappointment and shame. We often respond to these emotions with anger, withdraw, control or resistance which leads to conflict, emotional distance and the dreaded dead bedroom syndrome. Having disagreements in a relationship is expected. We all have our own ways of seeing, feeling and thinking about things including sex. The key to a healthy relationship is to be able to acknowledge the differences and communicate in a way that is genuine, supportive and understanding.
My approach is to help you understand each other at a much deeper level and apply new tools that will help you communicate in ways that make conflict much easier to navigate when it arises. Couples are complex with their own unique way of seeing an issue, so I utilize a variety of techniques tailored to your situation to help with getting to the root of the problem to create long, lasting change – in and out of the bedroom.
I have extensive training in couples and sexuality specific techniques and tools and have been seeing couples for over 15 years. I call upon my training, experience and sense of humor to help you create the relationship and the sexual connection you want.
